The problem we focus on
Every year, candidates pay roughly $300 per retake after walking into the real exam with a false sense of readiness. BAND9AI focuses on pre-test practice diagnostics: timed Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking flows that map mark-loss patterns to the public IELTS band descriptors, then point to a concrete fix direction.
Outputs are practice estimates and diagnostics for preparation — meant to expose false confidence and repeated penalty patterns. They are not official score reports and do not replace results from British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English. For immigration or admissions, rely on official requirements and official results.
How the product works
The usual path is: free band estimate on the homepage (~2 minutes) → optional $15 one-time four-skill Reality Check → Skill Fix or Complete System on the limiter, then retest. Feedback maps to public descriptor dimensions (for example Writing: Task Response, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range & Accuracy) rather than generic “nice writing” praise.
When we publish operational metrics (candidate volume, self-reported target-band rates, and similar), we define denominators, audit dates, and limitations on /trust and the methodology page.
